Bay West Ballroom is the largest Ballroom Studio in Marin County. The dimensions of the main floor are 62'X 40'. There is also a small second floor ("the wee studio") ideal for private lessons. The studio is fully mirrored. There is no place you can go without seeing your reflection. We have full picturesque windows which features fantastic sunsets. This plus our skylight give lots of natural light in the day. Two Bathrooms, a Kitchen, lots of easy on-site parking. All add up to what we think you will agree a very special space for dancing.

Private lessons are also available with recognized professional instructors. Arrangements must be made directly with instructors. Contact the studio for more information.
Ballroom Specifications
The main dance floor itself is 62'x 40'. It is made of beech wood and completely sprung. The Danish design is a completely free floating floor (which is to say-no nails hold it down) held together by a series of "V" clips which compress to the subfloor w/ the dancers weight and release to elevation when the couple has left the space. In addition to being suspended as a second floor space and the subfloor being fastened down to original shag carpet and pad, dancers will find this floor to be the softest, most absorbent floor they've ever worked on.
The eastern wall is completely mirrored. Approximately 9' high and 60' long-that's a lot of glass! There is no place you can go in the ballroom without being able to see your reflection.
The Western wall features picture windows that run the length of the ballroom and display scenic hills and magnificent sunsets.
Bay West is equipped with a state of the art D.J. Booth and and light system which is perfect for dance parties and events.

From the 101 in San Rafael take the Francisco Blvd/Richmond Bridge Exit. Turn Left off of Exit onto Bellam Ave. (going under the 580 overpass). Turn Right onto Francisco Blvd., East. It is a one-way frontage road which proceeds South. The studio address is a short jaunt, just three properties, before the first traffic light at West America Bank. *This traffic area is known as "the loop". Should you pass the studio you will need to proceed Left at the light, Left at Kerner, Left at Bellam and Left back onto Francisco-having made the full circle of "the Loop" to give it another shot. You will find plenty of parking on our property, the Ballroom is on the 2nd Floor.
From the 580 Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. Take the Francisco Blvd. Exit before the 580/101 merge. Take a right off this Exit to an immediate Hair-Pin onto Francisco Blvd. East. From here the directions are the same as above.
