Maestra of Tango; Lisette Perelle, returns to teach the Saturday Tango class this week. Joining her will be special guest instructor Diego Lanau, in town briefly from Buenos Aires.
Lisette and Diego will teach a Milonga Traspiť class from 12:30-1:30 p.m., designed for both leaders & followers, the focus will be on timing with attention to axis and smooth execution.
Lisette Perelle is one the Bay Area's premiere Tango Teachers. She has taught throughout the United States and abroad. She has been featured in the Tango film shorts, "Burn" and "Tango in the Park". In short, you'll learn from her, you'll love her!
Special guest instructor Diego Lanau began studying tango in 1997. In 1999 Diego joined the Mora Godoy group in Club Almagro where he met his first tango partner, Natalia Arcidiacono, became a finalist in the Sin Rumbo Club in Villa Urquiza and in December 2003 was crowned champion by a nearly unanimous public vote, in Club Saraza. Diego has traveled and taught in various cities in the USA: San Diego, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland New York, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas and Aspen, with festivals in Portland and Seattle. His teaching and performances in Europe include the Kerallic tango festival in Bretagne, and other locations in Italy, Spain and France. He continues to return to the SF Bay Area to teach and perform.
Cost: $15 ($12 w/class card) Included in the cost of this workshop is the regularly scheduled practica from 1:30 - 2:00 that follows the class.
